Practical karate uses the skill theme approach to teaching movement skills according to the recommendations by Shape America, formerly NASPE (National Association of Sport and Physical Educators). Following the latest progression in physical education movement skills are broken down, taught systematically in isolation, continually assessed and applied in drills and games that build competence in addition to being enjoyable for the students.
In every class students practice all of the core locomotor skills to help them become more physically literate. Therefore, creating better athletes that enjoy physical activity. Teaching movement skills in a non-competitive environment builds confidence in children’s movement skills and makes physical activity more enjoyable as they grow and develop.

News and EventsLittle Ninjas
Karate class for students ages 3-6. This class focuses on fundamental movement skills, sitting/standing still, following directions and enjoying movement.
Kids Karate
For students ages 5-10. This class teaches movement skills, discipline, self-control, practical karate skills and self-defense in a format that is both enjoyable and beneficial for children.
Kids Art
Students learn the foundations of art in a format that is both educational and fun. Art students learn how to use color, shape, lines, texture, form, space and value for creative expression.
Practical Karate
For adults and kids (10 years old and up or Orange belt and higher) with a focus on fitness and practical fighting skills.
Judo
For adults and kids with a focus on fitness and the fundamentals of Ukemi (break-falls), Nage-waza (throwing techniques) and Ne-waza (grappling techniques).
Boxing
Fundamentals of boxing with a focus on fitness and technical proficiency. This class is for all levels and abilities, from serious boxers to complete beginners. Sparring optional after class.
MMA
Fundamentals of Mixed Martial Arts with a focus on fitness and technical proficiency. This class is for all levels and abilities, from serious martial artists to complete beginners. Sparring optional after class.
