Gabriel started his martial arts training in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Kenpo Karate at 15. After earning his black belt in Kenpo Karate, Gabriel started boxing with Antonio Angelo Carollo. Carollo was the Brazilian national team coach for 23 consecutive years and took the Brazilian boxing team to five Olympic Games. From Carollo, he learned the importance of fundamentals in developing young fighters. After winning the 2006 Sao Paulo State Boxing Championship, Gabriel transitioned to MMA. After a pro career, he retired from MMA, started coaching, and has worked with many top professional fighters. However, he believes that everyone can benefit from the improved physical fitness and self-confidence of MMA training and has a passion for passing on these benefits to people of all ages and abilities.
